Altus is delighted to present local talent for your enjoyment.

There is live music Saturdays at dinnertime, at Altu's Ethiopian Cuisine in East Lansing, from
6:30pm - 8:30pm

There is no cover charge for music night.

	March 10, Mike Ross and Friends Mike Ross of Scarlet Runner Stringband is also a talented musician, poet and songwriter in his own right. Vocals, Harmonica, Fiddle... original and traditional music. The real thing. (We hear he might bring some friends along, too... celebrate with us.)
	March 17, Hall and Morgan and Friends Special Event for St. Patrick's Day! Fine instrumentals and haunting vocal harmonies. This time, an Irish-Influenced set with extra musicians. Don't miss it.
	March 24, The Fabulous Heftones Turn of the 1900s tunes, vocals and Retro/early jazz from the 1920s and more.

	April 7, Temesgen Hussein Our house musician returns for his First-Saturday slot. He sings wonderful, ancient songs from Ethiopia, accompanied by authentic stringed instruments.

	April 21, Ernie Block A favorite with Altu's staff, Ernie block plays lap/mountain dulcimer and sings. He may bring a friend or two, and whatever happens it will be a wonderful time.
	April 28, Scarlet Runner Stringband This popular contradance band returns to Altus for a non-dance performance. They will play their popular instrumental dance tunes, in addition to the songs they rarely perform. You will hear originals as well as traditional numbers. Don't miss this band in a rare concert environment. (Buy their new CD, while you're at it!)
	May 5, Temesgen Hussein Temesgen plays two traditional instruments from Ethiopia: the Krar, a six-string lyre, and the Begena, a ten-string harp. He has a collection of old spiritual and love songs full of wise words sung in his native tongue. His voice is resonant, the instruments a perfect accompaniment.
